I've been postponing a clients request to update their Co-property Regulations. The law changed in 2022 and they need to bring it up to date. The problem is, most of their units have been registered in the wrong Real Estate Registry. Therefore, in order to update the Co-Property Regulations, I need to move every single unit to the correct Registry.
Today, I finally went to the Registry to check some documents. I kind of lost track of time, but I must've been there for around 3 to 4 hours.
I was in there for so long that people started asking me stuff! They thought I worked there!
I decided to help them anyway. Most of them just needed help using the computer to find their documents, but some of them had deeper problems. It was my chance to talk to them, learn what their problem was and offer them solutions! So I eneded up giving away around 10 of my presentation cards, which is pretty good.
The best part is that some of those people were realtors! Those guys need lawyers all the time! So I may get some new clients just from being nice and offering help. Today's experience made me realize that people weren't exaggerating when they say that if you do stuff with a smile, go beyond what they ask for, people will notice.
I felt fulfilled after helping those people. It was great. I hope to do it again soon!
